European Definitions

EU
Transmission means the transport of electricity on the extra high-voltage and high-voltage interconnected system with a view to its delivery to final customers or to distributors, but does not include supply. [1]


ENTSO-E
Transmission means the transport of electricity on the extra high-voltage and high-voltage interconnected system with a view to its delivery to final customers or to distributors, but does not include supply. [2]


ENTSOG
Transmission means the transport of natural gas through a network, which mainly contains high-pressure pipelines, other than an upstream pipeline network and other than the part of high-pressure pipelines primarily used in the context of local distribution of natural gas, with a view to its delivery to customers, but not including supply. [3]
Transport is often used as synonym.

Austria

„Übertragung“ den Transport von Elektrizität über ein Höchstspannungs- und Hochspannungsverbundnetz zum Zwecke der Belieferung von Endkunden oder Verteilern, jedoch mit Ausnahme der Versorgung. [4]


Belgium

Transmissie: transport van elektriciteit langs het extra hoogspannings- en hoogspanningsstelsel van systemen, met het oog op de belevering van eindafnemers of distributiemaatschappijen, de levering zelf niet inbegrepen. [5]

„prijenos” znači transport električne energije vrlo visokim i visokim naponskim međusobno povezanim sustavom radi njezine isporuke krajnjim kupcima ili distributerima, ali ne uključuje opskrbu. [8]


Cyprus

«μεταφορά»: η μεταφορά ηλεκτρικής ενεργείας μέσω διασυνδεδεμένου συστήματος υπερυψηλής και υψηλής τάσης με σκοπό την παροχή σε τελικούς πελάτες ή σε διανομείς, μη συμπεριλαμβανομένης όμως της προμήθειας [9]


Czech Republic

„přenosem“ přeprava elektřiny propojenou přenosovou soustavou velmi vysokého napětí a vysokého napětí za účelem dodávek elektřiny konečným spotřebitelům nebo distribučním podnikům, avšak s vyloučením dodávek samotných. [10]


Denmark

»transmission«: transport af elektricitet via det sammenkoblede system for meget høj spænding og højspænding med henblik på levering af elektricitet til endelige kunder eller distributionsvirksomheder, men ikke forsyning. [11]


Ecuador

Transmisión: Comprende la interconexión, transformación y transporte de grandes bloques de electricidad, hacia los centros urbanos de distribución, a través de las redes eléctricas y en niveles de tensión que van desde 115.000 Volts, hasta 800.000 Volt. [12]

Slovenia

Spain

Sweden
